Business Counseling: (Free of charge)

The U.S. Commercial Service counsels U.S. and Lebanese business representatives regarding market entry opportunities and products. This service is offered in trade and investment, joint ventures, licensing, franchising opportunities, agencies and distributorship. Advocacy: (Free of charge)

The Embassy, through the U.S. Commercial Service staff, stands ready to work actively with Lebanese government officials, on behalf of U.S. firms involved in overseas projects, in promoting U.S. commercial interests in Lebanon. Advocacy may include conducting visits to government officials, helping in arranging meetings with government officials, accompanying company representatives to these meetings, sending letters or making phone calls on behalf of U.S. companies regarding a specific project or opportunity (more...)


Gold key Service GKS: (Fee-based)

The Gold Key Service (GKS) is a custom-tailored service designed for U.S. executives planning to visit Lebanon. It includes hotel reservations at discounted Embassy rates; screening of potential agents, representatives, or partners; telephone campaign, hand-delivery of client's product literature, and follow-up calls; appointments with reputable Lebanese firms; background information on local firms with whom US client is meeting; escort by Commercial Specialist to meetings; briefing regarding trade practices in Lebanon; and transportation. International Company Profile (Fee-based)

The International Company Profile (ICP) is prepared at the request of a U.S. firm to determine whether a Lebanese firm is a suitable trading partner. The report includes factual data on the Lebanese firm's management, business activities, product lines, financial condition, credit-worthiness, trading experience, market coverage, business connections in the country, as well as the Embassy’s evaluation of the firm to help U.S. companies assess risks, reliability and capability. • The U.S. Commercial Service responds to various trade inquiries related to specific industry sectors. The section also provides the Lebanese business community with contact information and company profiles of American companies in the U.S.

• The U.S. Commercial Service participates in the formulation and implementation of the country plan for trade promotion, which includes local trade shows, exhibitions, reverse trade missions and official visits.

• The U.S. Commercial Service provides information on the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), Export & Import Bank (Ex-Im), and the Trade Development Agency (TDA).
