Management Training Strengthens Lebanese Software Developers to Compete in International Markets

July 5, 2007

managementtrainingSeventy staff from more than 40 Lebanese technology companies learned to use new project management software that will give them an edge in international markets. The training, which took place in May and June 2007, was designed to help companies improve their software development cycle, reduce costs and increase efficiency, using Microsoft’s latest project management tools.

American volunteers, proficient in the software, trained Lebanese professionals through interactive workshops and simulation labs. The U.S. Agency for International Development offered the program in partnership with the International Executive Service Corps and Microsoft.

This training is one of several programs funded by the American people to strengthen businesses throughout Lebanon. The programs work to increase technology firms’ exports, and provide rural businesses, particularly in the tourist industry, with internet access and training to expand their businesses.
