President Bush Meets Lebanese Political Leaders at White House

U.S. President George W. Bush met with Lebanese Member of Parliament and Progressive Socialist Party Leader Walid Jumblatt, Minister of Telecommunications Marwan Hamadeh and former Future Movement Member of Parliament Dr. Ghattas Khoury at the White House, February 26, 2007.
The Lebanese political leaders also met with National Security Advisor Steven Hadley. Their discussions focused on the regional situation in the Middle East as well as the creation of an international tribunal to bring those responsible for the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri to justice.
The Lebanese delegation will also meet with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Assistant Secretary for Near Eastern Affairs David Welch at the Department of State. Other Washington appointments include meetings with former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and the current Secretary of Defense Robert Gates.
