 Anfeh Trench: Before and After...
U.S. contractor Seacor Environmental Services completed the clean up of oily beaches and historic sites along the Northern coast from Byblos to Enfeh including Batroun, on December 7, 2006. The Lebanese Ministry of Environment attested to its satisfaction with the work.

The United States provided a $5 million grant through USAID to Seacor to clean and restore public beaches, historic monuments as well as ports which were heavily impacted by the oil spill.

As spring approaches, the Lebanese people and tourists from abroad will be able to enjoy, once again, Lebanon’s beautiful coast and historic sites.
