The United States Embassy Denies Ad-Diyar’s January 26th Statement

The United States Embassy denies the January 26, 2008 statement in Ad-Diyar newspaper that the United States government has informed U.S. citizens to leave Lebanese territories as soon as possible.

On January 25, 2008, following the attack in Hazmieh, the United States Embassy sent American citizens a message which said:  “The U.S. Embassy urges U.S. citizens who live, work, or are traveling in Lebanon to exercise responsible security practices.”
