Lights, Camera, Action!  Embassy Offers Training Program for Film Students

January 28, 2008

The U.S. Embassy encourages outstanding undergraduate students of film and television to apply for the Fusion Arts Exchange.  This full scholarship will provide selected participants with courses on screenwriting and film production techniques. Training will take place in Los Angeles starting July 2008.  The application deadline is February 6, 2008.

Participants, aged 18 to 22, will have access to the film production facilities at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California.  The six-week program will cover topics in film and television, such as production, direction, cinematography, sound design, and editing, as they relate to screenwriting.  This is the second year of the Fusion Arts Exchange.  Three Lebanese students, from the Lebanese University, Lebanese American University and Notre Dame University, participated in last year’s program.

For complete program and application information, visit the U.S. Embassy website (http://lebanon.usembassy.gov).
