U.S. Embassy Commemorates September 11, 2001
Ambassador Michele J. Sison lays a wreath in remembrance of the victims of the 9/11 attacks.
To commemorate the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on New York, Washington, D.C. and in Pennsylvania, Ambassador Michele J. Sison spoke to the U.S. Embassy community and laid a wreath in remembrance of the victims of the attacks.
In her remarks, the Ambassador said: “Today we reflect on the terrible terrorist events of that September day seven years ago. We remember all who were lost – they were citizens of more than 90 countries, including the United States and Lebanon. … Lebanese and Americans must continue to work together to bring an end to senseless, inhumane terrorist acts which threaten the way we live.”
