Basketball Reception

groupOn October 3, Ambassador Michele J. Sison hosted a Basketball Reception  for twelve  young  players who  participated in a  two-week  exchange program to Las Vegas and Washington D.C in 2007 and other young Lebanese. These alumni worked in-country with over 100 other young Lebanese players and 17 coaches who participated in an U.S. Embassy sponsored basketball camp  this past summer . Ambassador Sison explained the importance of cultural exchange through sports activities and introduced the famous Lebanese basketball player Elie Mechantaf as a surprise guest. The reception ended with a friendly game between the Embassy team and the Lebanese young players.
