Embassy Beirut Celebrates the 30th Anniversary of the Hubert Humphrey Fellowship Program

Humphrey ReceptionOn August 20, 2009, the Public Affairs Officer Dr. Cherie Lenzen hosted a reception at her residence to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Hubert Humphrey Fellowship Program.  Thirteen Humphrey Alumni and several key  private and public sector officials gathered to commemorate this special occasion. The reception was a great opportunity for Humphrey Alumni to share their experiences with the invitees and discuss plans with Embassy officials to promote the program in Lebanon.

The Humphrey Fellowship Program brings accomplished mid-level professionals to the U.S for a one-year, non-degree program of combined academic and professional opportunities in a variety of fields.  Since 1984, Embassy Beirut has sent nineteen people to the United States on the Humphrey program.
