U.S. Ambassador Meets with Minister Hassan Diab

U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Maura Connelly met with Minister of Education and Higher Education Hassan Diab today. 

The Ambassador and Minister discussed bilateral cooperation in education, including the five-year, $75 million joint D-RASATI program that will benefit more than 270,000 Lebanese public school students by improving the physical quality and safety of Lebanese schools, as well as providing additional teacher training and fostering greater community involvement in the education process.

Ambassador Connelly renewed the commitment of the United States to a stable, sovereign and independent Lebanon.
