Notice of Information: Two Missing Children Maya Elizabeth Murad, age 10, and Omar Ruwayn Murad, age 7

The Embassy of the United States of America in Beirut has received the attached photographs in the case of two missing children. The two children – Maya Elizabeth Murad, age 10, and Omar Ruwayn Murad, age 7 – were abducted by their father from the United States in April 2000 and it is believed the children may have been taken to the Aleppo area, but could also be in any region in Syria or Lebanon. Custody was awarded to the mother by both US and Lebanese courts.

We ask anyone who has information on the whereabouts of the two children to contact immediately the nearest Lebanese Directorate of Immigration and Passports or the American Embassy in Beirut, American Citizen Services Section at 961-4-543-600.
