U.S. Embassy Opens U.S. University Fair: America Open and Welcoming to Lebanese Students
February 21, 2006The U.S. Embassy invites Lebanese students and their parents to learn more about America’s outstanding colleges and universities at a university recruitment fair, Tuesday, February 21, 2006, at the Movenpick Hotel (Raouche), from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. Organized by the U.S. Education Group (USEG), the fair is free of change and offers those interested in study in the U.S. the opportunity to meet with representatives of 20 different American colleges and universities. The event, co-sponsored by AMIDEAST, is open to the public. The U.S. remains open and welcoming to foreign students, and supports the USEG university fair as avenue to promote and encourage foreign students to take advantage of America’s outstanding educational institutions.
The educational institutions represented at the university fair reflect the diversity of options available in the United States, including big public universities and small private colleges. Some are located in large cities, others in small towns or rural areas. The institutions offer hundreds of diverse degree program options. All share a common goal of recruiting Lebanese students to study on their campuses. Both university recruiters and U.S. Embassy representatives will be available to answer questions about programs and services, as well as financial aid opportunities, the admission process, and student visas.
