U.S. Embassy Implements Changes in Visa Service

The U.S. Embassy offers the following information about important changes to its immigrant and nonimmigrant visa services.

Beginning Monday, July 3 the Consular Section will accept public telephone inquiries about immigrant visas only on Wednesdays from 2-4 p.m. Public telephone inquiries about nonimmigrant visas will be accepted only on Thursdays from 2-4 p.m. Please be advised that confidentiality does not permit the Consular Section to discuss the details of visa applications with third parties.

For information and inquiries regarding nonimmigrant visas, the public is encouraged to use the following:

• Visit the embassy website’s visa page. The English website can be found at http://lebanon.usembassy.gov . The Arabic website can be found at http://arabic.lebanon.usembassy.gov
• Email the Nonimmigrant Visa Unit at BeirutNIV@state.gov . Requests for changes to visa appointments can be made at this email address, as well as any other inquiries.
• Fax queries and requests to change non-immigrant visa appointments to 04-544-037.
