Performing Arts Professionals in Lebanon Encouraged to Apply to the Cultural Visitor Program

The U.S. Embassy, in collaboration with the world famous Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington DC, is offering two-week Cultural Visitor Program trainings in the United States to qualified candidates in the performing arts.  Candidates in the following fields are encouraged to apply:

-Actors (theater) - travel in spring 2009
-Directors/Playwrights (theater)* - July 2009
-Classical musicians - summer 2009
-Dancers: hip hop - July 2009
-Dancers: modern - September 2009

*Fluency in English required. English is not mandatory for other programs.

As with all Embassy-sponsored exchange and training programs, the U.S. Embassy pays for participants' expenses including airfare and accommodation.
REQUIREMENTS: You must be a Lebanese citizen or a legal, long-term permanent Palestinian resident in Lebanon between the ages of 19 and 30. You must already have professional experience in your field, not just academic.
