2009 Programs and Events

U.S. Embassy – Beirut 2009 Small Grant Program

June 17, 2009

U.S. Embassy Lebanon's Small Grant Program supports Lebanese organizations in improving, expanding, and/or developing their services.  These grants typically are awarded for $45,000 and last up to one year.  This round of Small Grant funding will be used primarily to assist south Lebanon and the north Beka’a regions.  Priority will be given to projects that address the following issues:

- Economic growth activities, entrepreneur trainings, apprenticeships, etc.
- At-risk youth populations (summer camps, sports programs, etc.)
- Cross-confessional dialogue and conflict resolution activities.
- Women’s empowerment projects.

Only proposals for the two identified regions and addressing the above subject areas will be accepted.

Completed applications in English should be e-mailed to bohsaliab@state.gov by Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at 09:00 AM Beirut local time.

You will receive an e-mail acknowledging the receipt of your application.

Note to all applicants: All application forms submitted to the U.S. Embassy will be evaluated against the U.S. Embassy’s evaluation criteria and are subject to the availability of funds. The U.S. Embassy will notify applicants of the acceptance or rejection of their application form; therefore, applicant follow up by contacting the U.S. Embassy is not required.
