Study in the U.S.
The Fund for American Studies in Greece During the Summer of 2008 - Final Deadline: March 15, 2009
The Fund for American Studies (TFAS) invites Lebanese students to participate in its International Institute for Political and Economic Studies (IIPES) in Greece during the summer of 2009.
This academic program is a rewarding experience set in a special educational environment that brings together to learn about each other and explore ways to cross the barriers that divide their cultures through conflict management. With the ongoing clashes in the Middle East and the age-old tension between ethnicities in the Balkans, students use dialogue to find ideas for peaceful resolution and diplomatic understanding of other cultures. The curriculum teaches important political and philosophical concepts of democratic government and economics, and students apply these lessons to real world situations in their home countries. Upon successful completion of the program, students will gain graduate or undergraduate credit from Georgetown University.
The U.S. Embassy may be able to offer a travel grant to a student with financial need accepted by IIPES.
